Introduction
It would take many volumes of the printed word to describe the vast procession of Iranian history in any depth; and to in include some sense of how this relates to contemporary Iran would test the patience of even the most eager student.
Another approach is to largely forgo words and instead rely on the keen eyes of photographers to brings us what they see and how they see it – for let us remember that it is not just what is pictured, but also how those objects or people are arranged within the frame that lend meaning to what we see.
