THE CRYSTAL FLOWER AND THE SUN - Farideh Fardjam گل بلور و خورشید

THE CRYSTAL FLOWER AND THE SUN

Summary:
The sun reached the North Pole. At the North Pole the day had started, a day which would last for six month.
As the sun spread its rays over the ice a crystal flower grew out of an icicle. When the crystal flower came face to face with the sun, a rainbow reached out, a touching the flower, gave it its seven colors.  The crystal flower and the sun became close friends. The sun would tell the flower all about other lands, the laborers and factories and people who were busy all day long.
When the six months had passed the sun began growing weaker. He told the crystal flower that he intended to gather his rays and move on. Other places were waiting for the sun to bring their flowers into blossom. The crystal flower, very sad at the thought of being separated from her friend begged him to take her with him. But the sun knew that once out from its stem the flower would melt away. Even knowing this she insisted all the more to be taken away.
So the sun shone on the crystal flower and the flower now separated from its stem rose towards the sky.
Looking at the sun you can see that  there is a spot on it. The spot is made by the crystal flower which travels with the sun on his way to bring new life to the towns and countryside.
